Live Music & Nightlife in Temecula Valley

Jazz on winery lawns, Old Town stages, and arena nights at Pechanga.

By Heath Clendenning

Live music here happens in three worlds. The wineries run concert series on their lawns through the warm months, led by Thornton's famous Champagne Jazz series. Old Town keeps a half-dozen stages going on weekends, from an intimate 48-seat jazz room to saloon bands above Front Street. And Pechanga brings the touring headliners to its theater and 40,000-square-foot Summit. Calendars below link straight to each venue's listings.

The lay of the night

For a sit-down show, check the Old Town Temecula Community Theater and its little sister The Merc, which runs jazz every Thursday. For dinner-and-a-band, Old Town's restaurants carry live acts Thursday through Saturday. For the lawn-chair-and-wine evening, watch the winery calendars from May through October. And for the big room, Pechanga's lineup runs year-round.

  • Jazz at The Merc: every Thursday, 48 seats, get tickets ahead.
  • Winery series run roughly May through October.
  • Lorimar has live music every single day of the week.
  • Old Town quiets early on weeknights; weekends carry the scene.

After sunset

The valley doesn't go quiet when the tasting rooms close.
